About the Run

The Run to Remember 5k honors U.S. Air Force
Lieutenant Benjamin J. Walder, who died by suicide in December 2015.

Lt. Walder was an alumnus of the Arnold Air Society Mark Giles Danielson Squadron and of
Colorado State University.

The squadron hosts the run every April in Lt. Walder's memory to raise money for The Alliance for Suicide Prevention of Larimer County, among other national suicide prevention efforts.

Through the R2R, we hope to reduce the stigma surrounding suicide and encourage mental health conversations within our personal circles, especially for military servicemembers.

April 2023 marks the 6th anniversary of the R2R since it was established in 2018.
